and search for "relay"

Look at your server config and make sure you have inbound relay settings and restrictions set the way you need them. Go to Server Configuration Settings | Router/SMTP | Restrictions and Controls | Restrictions | SMTP Inbound Controls.

Check anti-relay settings.

Go to Server Configuration Settings | Router/SMTP | Basics.

check the help on "relay host for messages leaving the local internet domain: especialyy if your Domino server is the relay for the IP connection.

Also add some text to your Domino server "Failure Messages" so when you get these responses it will tell you if the message comes from your server or an outside entity. Go to Server Configuration Settings | Router/SMTP | Advanced | Controls.
